Doctors Without Borders Ends Work at Afghan Maternity Ward After Attack

Doctors Without Borders is ceasing operations at a maternity ward in Kabul that was attacked last month, the international aid group said Monday, signaling how insecurity continues to plague Afghanistan despite U.S. efforts to reduce violence.

No group claimed responsibility for the maternity ward attack, which left 24 people dead, including mothers and newborn babies, and horrified a city battered by decades of violence.
